We have all gone into someone's garage and have seen those unsightly stains on the floor that take away from its appeal no matter how much you like the other features of the garage.  With a reasonable amount of effort, you can remove most of if not all the stains.

The first step is to remove surface oil by sprinkling some cat litter directly on it and letting it sit for awhile which will help absorb any remaining fluid.  After sweeping the cat litter away, make a past of hot water and dry dish or laundry detergent.  Using a stiff bristle scrub brush, apply the paste and scrub directly over the stains.  You will then hose the area off and let it dry.  This is one proven method.

Another option is to try is to apply a product like Spray 'n Wash on the stain along with a dry detergent and let it stand for about 10 minutes.  Again hosing the cleaners off with a hose.

Finally, a last option would be to spray oven cleaner on the stain.  You should use this more sparingly and wash it down thoroughly after letting it set for 10 minutes.  Be sure there is plenty of ventilation and keep children and pets away from the area while in use.
